Mitsubishi Active Stability Control
Active Stability Control (ASC) is a driving system designed to give you maximum control in the most adverse weather conditions. This Mitsubishi technology is at the heart of our vehicle model DNA, balancing rally car characteristics with the ability to maintain control no matter the road environment. Every Mitsubishi safety technology, like Active Stability Control or Super All-Wheel Control, has been engineered to improve your drive and take on whatever the Alberta roads can throw your way. West Side Mitsubishi is your one-stop destination for Mitsubishi vehicles, service, parts and technology, all at our Edmonton dealership. Read on below for more on Mitsubishi’s Active Stability Control.
What is Active Stability Control?
Active Stability Control works simply, but effectively, to help your Mitsubishi car or crossover retain both traction and stability control in almost any environment. It works by detecting when your vehicle’s tires don’t have the proper grip, either on slippery roads or through a sudden reaction from your steering wheel. Each respective wheel gets brake force applied to it, while the engine adjusts to assist the driver in keeping control. As well, the system works with the Mitsubishi safety technology’s ABS system to keep track of tire traction and work within the road conditions. Of course, this is just a driver aide, one that greatly helps a driver, but doesn’t fully mitigate any tough driving situation, so driver attentiveness and responsibility must still be taken.
